Applications for this call from the Government of the Canary Islands must be submitted through the Regulatory Councils from January 1 to 31, 2025 (inclusive).
The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Food Sovereignty of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the Canary Institute of Agro-Food Quality (ICCA), has announced aid for the transformation and bottling of wines with Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) produced in the Canary Islands, as well as for improving competitiveness in the foreign marketing of these products. Both initiatives are part of the Community Program of Support for Agricultural Production in the Canary Islands (POSEI).
These funds are financed with €279,925 from the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF). The financial allocation for Action I.6 is €231,660, and the amount granted will be €0.24 per liter qualified, bottled, and labeled during 2024 under any PDO in the Canary Islands. Action I.7 has a total of €48,265, which will amount to €0.70 per liter of wine under any PDO in the Canary Islands marketed in foreign markets in 2024.
Applications for these aids must be submitted through the corresponding management bodies, i.e., the Regulatory Councils, from January 1 to 31, 2025 (inclusive), using the standardized models available on the electronic headquarters of the Government of the Canary Islands (https://sede.gobiernodecanarias.org/sede/). Producers operating under more than one PDO must submit a separate application for each.
If applications are submitted after the specified deadline, they will still be considered for management and payment if received by the Administration within 25 calendar days after the submission period ends, with a reduction of the aid granted by 1% for each working day beyond January 31.
