AEDAS Homes, one of Spain's leading real estate developers, has announced an ambitious investment in the Canary Islands with the acquisition of two strategic plots for the construction of nearly 200 luxury homes. These new developments, located in the sought-after areas of southern Tenerife and Gran Canaria, respond to the growing demand for modern, high-quality housing in the archipelago.
In Tenerife, the Serene Project will be developed in the municipality of Adeje, one of the most dynamic areas in the Spanish real estate market. It will feature 92 homes with 2, 3, or 4 bedrooms, all equipped with spacious terraces and set within an exclusive environment offering swimming pools, a gym, coworking spaces, a sauna, and a jacuzzi. Construction is set to begin in the first quarter of 2025, with the project aiming to attract a diverse clientele of local, national, and international buyers, solidifying Tenerife's reputation as a prestigious residential destination.
In Gran Canaria, the Oase Project, located in Meloneras within the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, will include 96 homes with 2 or 3 bedrooms. These will be surrounded by premium facilities such as adult and children’s pools, a heated pool, play areas, yoga and coworking spaces, a sauna, and a gym. Construction is scheduled to start in the first half of 2025, marking a significant innovation for Meloneras, which has not seen new urban developments in over 25 years.
AEDAS Homes will invest a total of €130 million in these two projects, including the cost of land acquisition and construction. The initiatives are expected to create approximately 500 indirect jobs and provide a significant boost to the local economy. Antonio González, AEDAS Homes’ representative in the Canary Islands, emphasized that these projects address the high demand for housing amidst a scarcity of new developments, offering a modern and high-quality alternative in growing residential markets.
With the Serene and Oase projects, AEDAS Homes strengthens its already notable presence in the archipelago, where it has developed seven projects comprising approximately 600 homes over the past three years.
The Canary Islands continue to stand out as a highly attractive European residential hub due to their strategic geographic location, year-round favorable climate, excellent connections to Europe, and a stable legal and healthcare framework. AEDAS Homes thus reinforces its leadership in the residential sector of the Canary Islands, catering to the needs of a discerning clientele and enhancing the value of one of Europe’s most desirable destinations.
