Ryanair has announced an 18% reduction in its Spanish routes for the summer season, but the Canary Islands will remain unaffected. The low-cost airline plans to eliminate 12 routes across Spain and cease operations at Jerez and Valladolid airports.

This decision stems from delays in Boeing’s aircraft deliveries, which have slowed Ryanair’s fleet expansion. Despite these challenges, the Canary Islands will retain their current connections, a vital boost for the region’s tourism industry.

While cities like Jerez and Valladolid will face significant disruption due to the complete shutdown of Ryanair’s services, the airline has reaffirmed its focus on destinations with strong demand, including the Canary Islands, which remains a key hub for European tourism.
